Abby Raper is a performer who grew up in Johnson City, TN. In result of Abby growing up in a smaller town, she didn't have lots of access to the arts. However, she's known for quite a while about her love of performing. Abby would put on showcases for her friends and family at a young age before she knew she could pursue what she loves as a career.

As she got older, she started participating in her local community theatre where she learned she wanted to grow in her craft but couldn't reach the training she was wanting in her community. She decided to train with The Broadway Collective founded by Robert Hartwell for 5 years where she learned the importance of hard work and determination. This led her into pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at Drake University (class of 2027) and a study abroad with FSU Theatre Academy London. During her college experience, so far, she has received opportunities to be in several performances. One of them included Serena in Legally Blonde The Musical where she earned a nomination for the Irene Ryan Scholarship from The American College Theatre Festival. She has also participated in competitions including the National Society of Arts and Letters where she received 2nd place in the Musical Theatre round.
Throughout Abby's life, she has been very focused in her theatre training as she wants to be able to obtain all that she can while she is young, so she is able to pursue her passions. In her training she has learned many lessons not only about her craft but also about who she is as a person. She is forever grateful for all of the life-changing learning experiences she has had to shape her into who she is today and for all of the support from her family, teachers, friends, and mentors.
While Abby loves to perform, and this is a huge part of her life, she also finds joy in many other ways. She loves to bake cookies, she loves to travel, and she loves to spend time with her friends and family. Abby is a people person and loves spending time with others whether it be with people she knows or going out into her community to engage with those around her. Her biggest goal in life is to bring more joy into the world, and she strives to do this in little ways every day. She's learned that a little kindness in the world can go a long way.

Ever since Abby can remember she has had a heart for sharing joy with those around her. Abby loves creating art and believes her purpose on earth is to share joy and love using what she is most passionate about. If she can make others feel empathy toward different walks of life, she will be satisfied.
